NOT FUR ME

Frequently, I place contrasting elements into my work. “Not Fur Me” is a bracelet that is attractive and repulsive simultaneously. Seductive wild animal fur flows out of sterling silver frames. Each furry section is linked to another to envelop your wrist: silver fox, mink, coyote and beaver… a wild animal medley. The reverse side looks menacing with saw blades jetting out, broken springs, and a bed of nails. It’s uncomfortable worn against the skin, nevertheless, precarious when facing outward. By joining these extreme materials, I intend to evoke an emotional response, as each section is allowed to swivel and be interchangeable with the opposite side.
