Dinosaur Polygliders
A live project to create illustrations for a series of dinosaur-themed polygliders. The challenge wasn't just to create four unique reptiles, but to also make sure they were all correctly shaped to fit seamlessly on a polyglider design that slotted together.
The final styles were aimed at an audience just coming into teen cartoons, so they were aspirational without being scary. They also couldn't be overly realistic because the constraints of the polygliders meant the bodies would be unrealistic if not exaggerated in some way.
While a simple project, I think this is a really fun creation and highlights how going the extra mile in creating illustrations can help add value to even the most basic toy.
