Suitcases are often rendered bulky products when not in use, and often take up huge portion of the storage space. In scenarios such as shared accommodation (such as student hostels), this becomes an issue as the space for each person within the room is limited. Hence, the possibility of using suitcases from some altered use with the help of a design intervention arose, thereby helping to avoid it being a dead product taking up space in the room.

Then the question arose as to put a suitcase to what other use? Since the primary focus group were school and college students staying in hostels, the needs of a student were looked into. And through research, came to a conclusion, that irrespective of the type of accommodation or the type of course being studied, a major number of students prefer working from a bed, and often use a bed study table. This is where the opportunity arose.
