Start of original textile artwork - hand painting onto silk using my photograph taken during a walk in the woods
Progress on Woodland trail - using inktense crayons to add more detail into the distant trees. Next stage to embroider and quilt!
These two images are the first stages of my latest piece of textile artwork. I begin by hand painting my image onto silk then I will embroider using free machine embroidery as I quilt to create relief and add texture.
