#STOPFILTER
Filters, like those used on Snapchat and Instagram, are contributing factors to a so called selfie dysmorphia. Filters distort how people look and can create an unrealistic expectation of how a person’s facial features could appear.

The aim of this project is to raise awareness of the issue and discourage social media users from using face filters that highly distort facial features.

Selfie dysmorphia can lead to body dysmorphic disorder which is a mental health condition in which a person can’t stop fixating on one or more perceived defects or flaws in their appearance.

Body dysmorphic disorders can often lead to mental health issues including depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and even suicidal thoughts and behavior.
