For this project I had to emulate Gordon Parks. I chose this photo because it was one of the more playful of his images. I had some difficulty when trying to place my hand/arm because my arm is much bigger than the child's. Also, I couldn't find any beetles at the craft store so I decided to use this cute little snail, which is now super glued to the dash in my car. :)
Gordon Roger Alexander Buchanan Parks (November 30, 1912 – March 7, 2006) was an American photographer, musician, writer and film director, who became prominent in U.S. documentary photojournalism in the 1940s through 1970s—particularly in issues of civil rights, poverty and African-Americans—and in glamour photography.
