The Skull Crown Mask was built from 1 in foam, Aleene's Quick Dry Tacky Glue, white string and card stock. To start, I took a paper pattern of a skull mask and transferred it to the foam. Once transferred, I used scissors to cut out the foam pieces on the green lines. Using an x-acto knife, I then cut into the foam to create the ridges. I then bent the pieces together and held them in place with Aleene's Quick Dry Tacky Glue and base stitches. I repeated this step until the skull was constructed.
To decorate the Skull Crown Mask, I painted the foam in the various sections with acrylic paint. For the top of the of the top of the mask, I created cardstock flowers and glued them to the top of the skull. To see how I made the cardstock flowers, check out the project Cardstock Flowers.
