Safety vs. Danger: Adobe Illustrator

The Safety Vs. Danger Silhouette Project was one of our big projects in Adobe Illustrator. The process evolved from taking silhouette self portrait pictures, brainstorming ideas for the different emotions and developing a composition. I decided to create flowers using the pencil tool and made different kinds to accent the others. On the danger side, I used a metaphorical and realistic danger of spider by placing the webs at  the bottom and creating a metaphorical “fear” using the vines. The vines symbolize being stuck, feeling hopeless, and knowing something bad is to come below. I really enjoyed the entire process of creating this piece. This was one of my favorite pieces as I think it explores many ideas and is interesting to  examine.
