The History Classroom app was created as part of Adobe’s Creative Jam (Hosted by A&E Networks). Students were tasked with making a History Channel app that could help teachers. Myself along with two other students created this massive 70 art-board app in only 24 hours for the competition.
Design Process
The History website is full of information, with topics ranging from the Civil War to Ancient Americans. We aimed to make all of this information accessible by sorting the articles into topics, using a clear labeling system, and providing the user with a quick and easy favoring system that allowed them to save and organize their favorite resources.
One of our main focus when designing this app was to provide ways for teachers to organize the information that they found and create lessons based on it.
Since we wanted teachers to be able to use our app towards planning their lesson, we included a way for them to export any lesson plans and information that they collect while using our app.
Overall, we had a blast participating in this competition. It taught us new ways of using Adobe XD along with working together as a team.
