We created a suite of two not-so-sweet Facebook apps to promote the release of Mean Girls 2. Pranking is a big part of Mean Girls 2, and we knew we wanted to do something to allow users to get a little "plastic."

So in a sly nod to the recently departed Facebook Gifts, Punky Presents enables users to pick a silly prank to post on their friend's wall in the guise of a friendly present. Little does the recipient know that when they launch it, they'll have their Facebook profile taken over by an exploding iced latte, a scrawled message in lipstick, or something equally juvenile!

Our solution utilizes Facebook's API to pull names and pictures of the recipient and friends to generate a 100% fake Facebook profile that is still totally convincing.

Are You Plastic? helps users figure out just how "plastic" they really are. A randomly selected Facebook friend is pitted against a wacky person, animal, or thing in a series of "would you rather"-like questions. With each question answered, they get the opportunity to notify their friend of their loyalty - or disloyalty. The result is a measure of the user's "plasticity" with a nice opportunity for some catty fun.

But don't just read about it! Check out the apps for yourself. Start here, and watch out. You might find you're a little plastic by the time you're done!
