I was tasked with creating packaging based on boxes/packaging of previous designs. Basically, I took the structure of a match box and scanned it to get the correct dimensions. I then made a template and started designing. I wanted something that made matches and the act of lighting them whimsical and magical, so I related the brand imagery and name to dragons. If put into production, the scales on the sides of the inner box would be where the match is struck, so the experience is almost like striking a match on a dragon's rough, scaled skin.
