Part of my school project in Year 1, Driftwood was originally made as a small poetry zine. Aside from the poetry and the heavy use of photographs, I've decided to rework on this project and use the sketches medium that was intentionally used to present her daydreams, animating the major parts to breathe life into the images.
Driftwood is a piece of wood that are drifted ashore from oceans. Driftwoods are normally seen as nuisances, but they provide homes to birds and sea creatures. is about an addiction to daydreaming, about a lover who does not exist and searching for him/her desperately only to be grasped by the reality of their non-existence. Addiction to daydreaming in love can make a person forget about themselves and the people around them, and he/she could get hurt mentally in the process.
