I created a skateboard graphic using Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator. The first part of the assignment was to think about, investigate, define what the "From where I stand" means to you. I will then begin the design process with the goal of creating a design that will be adhered to the two skateboard decks. I will then create a unique way to display my skateboards for the winter art show.
This was the original sketching for the project. My idea was to create a yin yang inspired koi fish pattern on the two skateboards.
This picture was the inspiration for the koi fish and the colors were inspired by the Pearl Jam album lightning bolt.
I started with a red base of spray paint
Then using masking tape I made a pattern on the boards and spray painted on black and one white.
I then used a vinyl sticker to make a stencil for the koi fish and spray painted them opposite colors of the background details.
