1950s - 1960s Photoshoot
(2016) For this photoshoot, I took elements from the 1950s and 1960s, and added a modern flair to it. I did not want to do a photoshoot that was strictly 1950s or 1960s themed because I felt like it has been done before. I admired the makeup from the 1950s, but I liked Gabrielle’s record player from the 1960s, and I wanted the clothes to look 1960s, but modern. I could not possibly choose just one decade to represent. Piecing the decades together had allowed me more freedom to create something innovative, which is what I like to do. I spent a few days researching, and watching films about the 1950s and 1960s to get a clear idea of how I should set up for my photoshoot. I complied my findings into a document, and sent it to my model; Shea Gabrielle Holofcener Fink, who did the makeup, and provided the location, and some of the props.
