Project Description:
I worked with curators and the design team of the Museum of Flight in Seattle, Washington to redesign the exhibit panels in the Great Gallery. New elevated, back-lit information panels replaced outdated floor-based graphics. Templates were designed to provide floor-mounted artifacts with horizontal panels, while ceiling-hung aircraft received vertical panels. Each template featured historic photographs, aircraft specifications and personal stories. Colors and features of the panels changed according to artifact era, grouping clusters of age-related aircraft together. Several exhibit panels included video screens mounted within the design to showcase additional historical content.
