Using Adobe Illustrator, I created a book cover for John Green's novel, The Fault in Our Stars. The color palette I selected portrays a story night with deep blue emotion, to hint that the story line is filled with deep emotion. I used the books famous saying "okay? Okay." on both the front and back covers. My most common used tools in this project where the pen tool, the brush tool, and the type tool. This project consisted go three layers. Layer one being that background text. As you can see the letters from the title of the novel are scrambled throughout the background. Layer two held the graphic work which includes the silhouettes, clouds, and stars. Layer three consists of all the text.
