Research:
To begin my research, I looked on the Lavazza website and looked at the calendars, before this I didn’t realise how much effort and thought went into the coffee brands advertisement, they have seemed to always have a consistent theme of being very creative within their shoots, this is an element I hope to incorporate into my own shoot.

My favourite campaign is the 2006 advertisement by Ellen von Unwerth.
Ellen von Unwerth is a German photographer and director. She worked as a fashion model for ten years before becoming a photographer, and now makes fashion, editorial, and advertising photographs
I really liked the colour palette in this series of photos, it reminded me of the 50s era as well as the décor of the plane and the air hostess uniforms, I like the idea of my subject being in the sky like the second image as it fits in with the out of this world theme.

Ellen Von Unwerth has worked closely with a lot of celebrities especially musicians. Her subjects are mostly women, whom she likes to show as empowered, sexy and playful, she likes to creative a narrative within one image.
Another key factor about Unwerth is she never makes a man the focus, a lot of the time if she does include a man she makes him out of focus or only slightly in shot, again empowering women.
