Issues is a zine of original content comprised of interviews and essays about sexuality. This zine serves to address societal topics around sexuality, race, class, age and gender to an audience that has personal experience with inequality, including those not directly impacted by these issues. I soon realized I have not created a design piece about sexuality, which I have personally come to terms with as a young adult, and how important human quality is. The zine Issues serves to address societal problems such as sexuality, race, class, age and gender to an audience who mostly have personal experience with inequality, as well as some people who are not directly impacted by these issues.
I was inspired by current and historical protest signs that are screen printed in black ink to express the aggression and pace protesters feel during social movements.
Saddle stitch & digital mockups. 6 inches by 9 inches. 32 pages. Completed March 2020, 6 month duration.
