Back in 2014, journalists Sam Tranum and Lois Kapila approached TWO Design to help them design their upcoming book, ‘Lat Does Not Exist’.

This book is a compendium of interviews with the people of Lat in Chhattisgarh, most of whom have been displaced from their homes and way of life in the wake of increased coal mining in the region.

The publication contains beautifully tragic photographs by photojournalist Nikhil Roshan, who accompanied the authors as they travelled the region, speaking to the people and documenting their stories.

We are honoured to have played even a small part in the making of this book.
