Pen & Marker Case Prototype
This prototype was created at an Industrial Design intensive at the Mass College of Art & Design over the summer of 2019. It was a response to the prompt, "design something to hold your class materials." I decided that I would design a small case that would make all of my sketching grays & microns readily available and in view so they could be easily viewed, used, and put back while working. I experimented with a couple of options ranging from a case that would hang off of a table to something that would fit in a water bottle holder of a backpack. My final prototype, however, was a simple case with a handle that propped itself up at an angle so as to allow the user to easily view the pens & markers without having to go searching through a cluttered case. While this case succeeds in its purpose, it is aesthetically unappealing and is really just a first prototype.
