I've developed this web app as the second project on the professional web-programmer course I was attending. Instead of thinking on some random project, I decided to make a usefull application of what I've learned. 
As it happens, the boy-scouts association (AEP) where I belong in Portugal had a need for a solution to get all the scarfs of the different groups (each group in the country has a different scarf) on the same place, so when a new group opens the responsible national chief for the opening of new groups could confirm if a especific design is already in use. 

I've created the database using MySQL and the web app (front-end) with PHP that allows the user to search for the different scarfs designs with various search options - by city, region, colors or components. Along side the search interface, I've also created a form to add new groups to the database, or to delete old ones.
