More than 70% of the soaps in China's 440,000 hotels, which served 4.8 billion tourists in 2017, were discarded after only one use. Each hotel throws away about 2.5 kg of soap every day. Four hundred forty thousand hotels throw away more than 400,000 tons of soap every year. "The cost of soap would be 8 billion yuan, based on 20,000 yuan per ton. The primary raw materials for making soap, such as palm oil and olive oil, are all imported, and there is no industrial chain for recycling soap in China. "
根据携程网的统计报告，中国酒店业超过44万家酒店，2017年服务超过48亿人次。其中70%的仅仅是用来一次的洗漱用品被直接丢弃。在洗漱用品中，平均每家酒店每天丢弃2.5公斤肥皂，全年共计超过40万吨。这样的肥皂浪费每年超过八十亿人民币，肥皂的制造原料依赖于进口，中国尚且没有相关的循环回收产业链。
Budget hotels, including homestays, have the highest amount of soap thrown away. This kind of soap is similar in composition if unified recycling does not need more detailed classification.
One day, when I was in the shower, I was inspired to use soap to replace the plastic bottle of shampoo. If I want to do this, I should improve its physical properties. So I designed some experiments to test whether this idea works.
我采访了酒店业相关人士并调研了市场上主流的酒店肥皂使用回收情况，发现中高端酒店肥皂的单块分量大、质量好。按照酒店相关服务要求洗漱用品每天都需要更换。其中有小部分酒店有自己的回收处理安排，但绝大部分酒店选择丢弃。低档酒店包括民宿，采用的肥皂质量相对较差，但是由于酒店数量庞大，丢弃情况依旧很严重。于是我尝试做了一些实验，用以改良肥皂的物理性能，使其能够充当容器。经过了一系列改良，新的肥皂材料基本可以满足作为容器的要求。
Design concept
Soap bottle is made of recycled soap from hotels. Soap also has properties comparable to plastic when modified. After the shampoo runs out, cut the bottle apart and turn it into perfect hand soap.
肥皂瓶由回收肥皂改良后制成。肥皂瓶可作为洗手液、洗发露等容器，在内容物用完后。切开瓶身，可以变成非常好的洗手皂。
THE MOLD OF SOAP BOTTLE
The bottle body is molded twice. The hollow inner bottle was made from white recycled soap for the first casting. Then the inner bottle was put into the outer mold for the second casting. The outer bottle is made of recycled transparent soap coated with beeswax, which could improve its water resistance.
肥皂瓶身由双层浇筑成型，内部采用白色肥皂制成，外部采用透明彩色肥皂制成。 表面镀上的蜂蜡能有效地防止瓶身在潮湿环境中的糊化。
