Indian Garment Construction

The Indian Garment Construction consisted of three different garments. The Jacket, the Choli or Blouse, and the Pants.
The theme chosen was ‘Sybil’. Sybil was a 1976 drama film that featured a character called Sybil, who had sixteen different personalities. In the collection we have tried to portray the different personalities or characteristics through the different colors used in the collection.

The Jacket was the outer garment, worn over the blouse. The fabric chosen for this garment was cotton chikan for the body and chanderi for the sleeves.

The next garment was the Blouse or Choli. The colour chosen was red . As for the fabric.. it was brocade . The small golden buttons at the side gave the blouse a beautiful touch.

The third garment- the Pants had a formal look. The pants were straight cut, tapering at the ankle. The fabric chosen was Tussar and the colour.. saffron.
All the colours chosen were warm- red, saffron, defining power and strength and off-white to show sybil's actual personality which was calm and composed.

The patterns for all the garments were self made and the garments self stitched.
