The brief of this project was to choose an inspiration
and develop a garment from scratch. The inspiration
chosen was the image of a Roseate Spoonbill.

The concept was that just as the bird spreads and
retracts its wings by choice, similarly, one who
adorns this garment can adjust it to her convenience
and choice. This in turn gives multiple options and
possibilities to the look and use of this garment.
This is a multipurpose hand crafted garment.

After the idea was fixed upon, a pattern was
developed and a test run was done to check the fit
and function of the piece. Only then was the final
piece dyed, cut and stitched to a perfect finish.
