These pieces, created for a graphic design class assignment in 2018, explore the visual properties of letters.  

This work uses positive and negative space to create abstract forms using parts of different letters.  By the basic design principle of Gestalt, these visual elements come together to form new objects greater than the sum of their parts.  

The amalgamation of letter shapes, studied conceptually here, has practical relevance in the fact that it is a common tactic in logo design.
