Vector Illustration: Lego Vehicle
About the project:
This project was a practice of using mostly pen tool and basic gradient / transparency options to draw an image of a LEGO vehicle by hand. The figure was observed from multiple angles and areas to understand how specific pieces shined in the light or to see which pieces were observable in most conditions. I experienced a feeling of excitement starting the piece, which quickly turned into frustration half-way through, and then back into amazement at the finished result. Work time was around 20 hours during an undergraduate level course at the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
Instructions for students:
Students should upload exported .JPG or .PNG files of their work from the course into a page similarly laid out as this. You must include a title and artist statement for each piece that you upload. The artist statement must be one paragraph (3 sentences) describing any details, feelings or thoughts about the work uploaded.
