Concept packaging for the white-label of the chain of supermarkets Bon Preu Group, a Catalan based company with more than 200 stores located in all over Catalonia.
The project consists in the redesign of the packaging for 6 selected items representative of three product lines: basic products, organic products and gourmet products.
The concept
For the development of the packaging concept, I have focused on the company origins and also on the current corporate policy.
Company origins
Bonpreu set the first store up on the city of Manlleu in 1974. One aspect that is relevant for the history of the city is the river Ter, since the industrial development and consequently the need of workers, led to an increasing of the residents and an economy growth.
Corporate policy
The company has a clearly defined corporate policy based on three essential pillars: the language policy, promoting the use of the Catalan language within the employees and also in the labeling of the products, nearby products, promoting local products, and finally, the personnel policy, promoting the gender equality and social insertion in the company.
