Another aspect of my work is design production. Many clients will have work done by another designer, only to need the layout reworked into various sizes. The client supplies me with production specs, asking that I rework an original 8.5x11 file into 22x28, 6.5x4.5, etc. They need the soda bottle switched to a can or the sandwich needs to be a cheeseburger.

 

These production jobs are not the most glamorous design projects, but they are good to sharpen your skills. These projects usually require a good eye and attention to details. Sometimes the project can be monotonous, so being able to use the design program's specialties are also crucial.
