Kurt Vonnegut Book Covers
Intensive two day book cover design studio workshop run by David Pearson. The task was to design and produce a series of book covers from an author we admired.
With making a series of cover designs I think that it is ideal to try and keep a consistency which will help familiarise the reader visually with the other books. I used typography as the main graphical element for this. Using a bold typeface I chose to experiment, artistically changing the orientation and positioning of the typeface to feel more alive on the cover. Complimenting this aesthetic I used different tones of a similar colour to give more depth.
