Flood | Typographical Poster

This project that began in early November was based around the idea of designing a typographical poster that would help communicate a literal-narrative for the word “Flood”, by the way of a visual style that combines minimalism and simplicity together.

As you will see, the final outcome consists of the word “flood” being displayed in a light sans-serif font, with the inclusion of shape-orientated illustrations that help formulate a water droplet and half-submerged flood sign.

To help push the overall depth of design that little bit further, I decided to include lighting gradients alongside a grain texture in order to help push away from a look that I felt would appear far too flat, and way too polished for my own personal liking.
