This piece is the Disney walkway to the castle with some people in the front and Tinker-bell and fireworks in the sky. I painted the background with paint but colored all of the other pieces with colored pencil. 

 

Principles of design that best describe my piece would be movement and emphasis. The movement in my piece is shown with the people at the bottom of the hill up to the castle and then going up to the fireworks to Tinker-bell at the top. There is emphasis on some of the people and fireworks with the bright colors and the red and yellow to make the grey on the castle stand out more. 

 

My idea for this project came quick and making certain things stand out on this. My shadows and highlighting with colored pencils has improved and my gradient painting for the background also came out good. This project came out better than expected.
