Courage & Grit
18x24" poster project and potentially a kick off to something larger.
Growing up in a port town on the Great Lakes is probably the reason behind my fascination with nautical related material. Courage & Grit is a tribute to the long since past sailors and fisher men of the Great Lakes and else where. It definitely takes a certain breed of people to make a life for yourself out on the water, and that is something I admire.
A secondary by-product, I drew up the emblem after completing the poster as it was inspired by the little sea monster in the top left quarter of the image.
