Innocence of Women

Innocence of Women

Living in Myanmar, I was inspired by the people and various natural elements. This illustration series portrays my use of nature and cultural aspects of Burmese women, to deliver the innocence that captivated me in this beautiful country. The vivid flowers are symbolic of the fragrant environment, and the brush strokes on the cheeks were inspired from Burmese traditional cosmetic, called 'Thanaka'.
