VISIONS OF DESIGN

Project for Typography 2. I was asked to design a book by combining two different texts, with an accompanying third text of our choice. I chose to work with Gui Bonsiepe's "Some Virtues of Design" and John Berger's "Ways of Seeing". My third text was kept simple with definitions of terms and names, in order to communicate difficult meanings throughout the text to the reader. The six virtues of design were categorized by a circle system and color, where a specific color was given to each virtue. This book has been chosen to be exhibited at the AIGA Boston New Voices Unique Visions Exhibition at Endicott College from March 2014 to April 2014.

The book has some pages that are in color and some are not. The colored pages show a quote by John Berger's writing, where the book creates an harmonical rhythm of conversation between the two people.
