University project working with Boyd Clack to create a double page spread to go into a book with articles from his facebook blog. We were given the post randomly and then told to use illustrations and typography to help express the post. The post i got was about Boyd still seeing the child within his adult body, i wanted to express the confusion and dark meaning that the post had by using just black and white. I created an illustration of himself looking into a window like the post explains, using lino print so that the whole thing had a imperfect and rough look to it to reflect the post. I used a simple, clean typeface so that it stood out from the page and contrast the illustration but also so that it was easy to read. The book is hopefully being published with the whole classesillustrations later this year.
