Ompractice
Be At Home In Class

Client: Ompractice
Project Duration: January 2018–April 2018
Art Direction & Design: Christopher Santoro

Ompractice is a platform that completely changes the experience of practicing yoga at home. The platform allows students to take live, online yoga classes whenever, wherever. Teachers can host live classes for students, with the added ability to also see how students are doing in case they need to correct form.

Before the rebrand, Ompractice had been around for a couple of years. At that point, the brand didn’t reflect the flowing, gentle aspects of yoga practice—in fact, it was the complete opposite. Working alongside the Ompractice team, we began stripping down the brand to bring the visual gentleness, and the conceptual depth that would reflect one’s journey through practice.
Logo
After numerous iterations on the mark, we came to an abstract, circular maze logomark; representing the non-linear path one may undergo through a yoga practice lifestyle. The form of the “o” was based off of the logotype set in Brandon Grotesque.

The system needed to work for both students and teachers, so a set of cool but vibrant colors were chosen. These were also chosen with the eventual UI design of the product in mind.
Tradeshow Materials & Art Direction
With the brand identity complete, a set of tradeshow banners needed to be created for various promotional events. Aside from a default banner that reflected the hero image of the website at the time, two other banners were created using the mark as a visual cue; both complimenting the forms of featured practitioners, as well as creating general brand awareness.
