Kulkurikoulu / Nomadskolan is a school in Finnish and Swedish language children living abroad Finland. I designed characters for them to use on their website. There´s an weird old Finnish saying "oma maa mansikka, muu maa mustikka" - "homeland is strawberry, other countries are blueberries", and I used that as a starting point...
