We partnered with HSBC to create the first globally unified card design system in the banking industry, and helped bring it to life through extensive materials research, prototyping, consumer testing, and activation.
The HSBC Global Lion Cards Design in numbers:
1 iconic design for all cards globally 2 custom core colours for navigation – black for debit, and red for credit 3 global payment brands: MasterCard, Visa and UnionPay 6 printing layers using metallic inks, custom varnishes and satin laminate for a smooth premium finish 20 colour variations to accommodate different card types 50+ countries launched the lion card design through 2017–2019 120 card prototypes made to perfect the design 456 facets making up the design for the card face
