Brigitte from Overwatch fame is by far one of my favorite characters in the game. Both in playstyle and most importantly character. Her story is fantastic and I just feel like she is just great. 

I also love Viking history and nordic culture, and when I originally started this project as a pencil sketch in her default look. I wanted to challenge myself and see if i could make digitize the sketch as the legendary skin which is a shieldmaiden outfit. 

This print was quite challenging and took a lot of time as I really focused on my ability to perceive and translate details from reference images. As well as making sure I kept the original pencil sketch theme in-tact. 

Once I was nearing completion of the project. I felt it would fun to mashup a little bit of Marvel fun from Thor Ragnarok film and that Brigitte would have what is known as "Odin Force" as Thor does in the end of the film.

This project challenged by ability to perceive details and translate into this new piece. This was not simply a copy or 1:1 kind of situation. As you can see in the images below how there is a lot of cool details that are true to the original design as well as additions to make it fit in this piece.

This is one of the first projects I ever learned about using artboards and smart objects to easily created scaled and sized versions of a given print. These lessons made working with online stores and various product formats in a single PSD file so much easier.
