I designed these instruction manuals along with all the product (activity) illustrations for Eureka's science activity kits. These activities are for students ranging from grade 3 to 8.
Keeping in mind the age groups of the users my design was more vibrant, visual and playful for the younger age group (grade 3-5) whereas for grade 6-8 I used a relatively matured visual style.
Since stories can be a great way of learning, these manuals used storytelling as a medium to explain the scientific concepts behind every activity. These illustrated stories help the students understand and retain the concepts better, also it evokes a feeling of curiosity and excitement with every activity box they come across.
