A series of portraits of former members of the Black Panther Party, a political Afro-American organization. They fought (literally) for social law and civil right for black people in America. But these leaders, who were they besides the big words and the violence? Who were they as a real person? Because the answer to that question didn’t become clear to me, I portrayed them in this somewhat unclear way. From a distance you recognize a face, but it questions who the person really is.
