YAS ISLAND
Yas Island is fast becoming an important suburb of Abu Dhabi. Far enough from the city’s high-rise downtown to be peaceful but close enough to the world-class amenities on Yas to be entertaining.
Aldar, the primary developers of this huge space, briefed Zaman to create the name, brand identity and launch collaterals for their first residential project to fulfill that positioning and place Yas Island clearly on the map of preferred places to live.
The name, Ansam, means ‘gentle breeze’ a clear reflection of the near by open sea and the natural environment in which the development is located. The tagline “Close to Everything yet Worlds Away” carefully details the proposition. The logo mark presents an elegant, simple, defined space.
The visual identity uses a palette of soft, natural colours, reinforced with an imagery style that presents nature in beautiful detail. Fonts are a combination of elegant serifs for highlights and practical simplicity for the text.
To support the launch Zaman applied the identity to Aldar’s stand at Cityscape, bringing the project to life with this critical audience. We also created the multi stage print and online advertising campaign, the site hoardings and the evocative brochure to bring this benchmark brand to life.
