Camp Cherokee Welcome Guide

Camp Cherokee is a Boy Scouts of America campground in South Central Texas. The welcome guide is designed as a piece of collateral campers would receive upon entering the grounds to help them navigate and help them with basic scout skills relevant to the area. The symbols are modeled after the structure of merit badges and the color palette and patterns are a mix of the vintage BSA aesthetics with patterns from the southwest. The actual guide is double sided and folds into eight sections with a map of the campgrounds on the back. The symbols help to organize the locations on the map and the timeline of the camp schedule. The photographed version was printed on heavyweight cold pressed watercolor paper.
