Homelessness Illustration for Grant Magazine

Final draft - simplified colors even further to a monochrome palette, uses lighter colors without seeming too cheerful
A darker color scheme - the previous color palette was too bright and didn't convey the story in the way the writers intended, but the colors make it look like nighttime
Reverted back to the original layout of the houses to draw more attention to the missing house in the center, yellow doors replaced with red to simplify the color scheme
The first draft in InDesign with a more developed color palette and clean lines
A second draft in Procreate to refine the shape and overall feeling
The very first sketch (made in Procreate on the iPad Pro)
