This is a badge design which i created for a contest on the well known website DesignerCrowd.
I am awaiting the results, although i have been given some very positve feedback.
This only took me twenty minutes or two to finalise, i hope you enjoy this quick progression.

Firstly I created a friendly shape that would suit the required design specifications.

Secondly I started to add some warmer colours on the inscene of the design to give it more depth.

Thirdly I threw in a few pink gradients to put you under the impression that the design may be three dimensional.

I start to finalise this quite simple design by adding additional text with the year "2013" in the center of the piece.

I complete the design by throwing in a very deep drop shadow.
