Truth vs Lies
Truth vs Lies is a self-initiated project by Clim and João Lucas.
Touched by the Catalans' fight for human and democratic rights compounded with the current political climate in the UK, USA and most recently in Brazil, Clim felt it was necessary to create a film that shines a light upon the post-truth era in which we are all living.
Clim partnered with João Lucas to create this neutral yet revealing film and, collaboratively, they chose to use abstraction and visual metaphors to illustrate the challenging realities of these confusing modern times.
This short piece explains how it has become very difficult for anyone to tell the difference between facts that are based in truth and “facts” that are NOT.
The script was inspired by this article written by Katharine Viner from The Guardian.
