                                Guide Book

The consumption of Indonesians in urban areas,
leads to/produces organic and inorganic waste that ends up at TPA (Tempat Pembuangan Akhir - Final Disposal Sites),
which has now exceeded its recommended capacity.
Meanwhile, TPA has to face the fact that the waste treatment technology
that will be standard in the coming years is not yet available.
Therefore, the steps to be taken include education on waste minimisation from the source, i.e. the community and/or the individual who produces
waste from the nearest environment, such as their own home.

In order to achieve significant waste minimisation,
it requires an active role for the waste producing community over a long
period of time and must be practised in stages with the help of relevant media references. The exploration of the medium, in the form of
                           a physical guidebook printed with a low-emission, eco-friendly inking
machine (RISO), has its own significance in physically accommodating textual and contextual information about the complicated
waste problems in Indonesia, without losing concerning factor to the
                                                     environmental impact.

Particular layout styles are used to conserve ink
while highlighting the thriving movement of environmental activism in                                                           Indonesia while depicting its contradicting values.
It is hoped that through this guide, readers will be able to understand and comprehend the complexion to domestic waste sortation
starts from their respective home.
