Back in 2014, London agency MBA commissioned Atticus Digital to produce this 360° Oculus Rift virtual 360° experience for Neilson Active Holidays. Neilson wanted a windsurfing experience for their customers to allow them to 'Have a go, before you go'.

We filmed the 360° videos on location in Turkey. Being an experienced windsurfer, I was was the cameraman, wearing the 360° camera rig on my head.

The experience went live at the London Boat Show and caused quite a buzz. GBR Olympian windsurfer, Jonnie Hutchcroft, loved it and said "I feel like I'm really there".

The final virtual reality app won a Welsh BAFTA for outstanding technical Achievement.
