I was commissioned by the Town of Shichigahama to translate and update their garbage sorting guidebook. I decided that a small town like Shichigahama needed something that felt quaint and warm, while still having a modernized look. All designs were carefully crafted to ensure that all lines have a consistent thickness throughout the book, giving it a sense of uniformity which was not found in previous town publications.
Multiple different house landscapes were used as a trim at the bottom of some pages, and no landscapes were used more than once.
Close to 100 different items were drawn to illustrate the various types of garbage Shichigahama's community might need to throw out.
