We're 50+ years post-Civil Rights Movement, yet we haven't seen enough change.
Over Martin Luther King Jr. Day this year, I watched the documentary "King in the Wilderness" which highlights the struggles, little victories, and more struggles of the African American community during the Civil Rights Movement.
We like to think the United States has come a long way from the days of slavery, segregation, oppression, prejudice and brutality, but has it really?
After so many horrific events in the African American community over the past few years, I felt called to create this poster series which highlights famous Martin Luther King Jr. quotes that unfortunately still ring true today.
I wanted these posters to evoke frustration from our lack of progression, but the urge to fight for a positive change.
Martin Luther King Jr. said it best, "No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until 'justice rolls down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream.'"
What are you doing to bring about change?
